Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Commerce City Residents Directory. By using the service, you accept them; if you disagree, please do not use it.

1. The Reference Service

Commerce City Residents Directory is a privately operated reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Commerce City, Colorado. It does not host government records or speak for the Commerce City City Clerk, Adams County Clerk & Recorder, Adams County Assessor, Colorado Judicial Branch, or Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Those custodians set their own access rules.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the service only for lawful personal research. Colorado's anti-stalking statute, C.R.S. §18-3-602, and harassment statute, C.R.S. §18-9-111, are among the limits that may apply. You may not use this service or information found through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit fraud or steal an identity
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the service's content at scale
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the service

3. No Consumer Reports

Commerce City Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the material here nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. External Links and Services

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms and policies. We do not control or accept responsibility for their content, availability, prices, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The service is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that its information is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the service's operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting brief, attributed excerpts is welcome; republishing complete pages or copying the content systematically is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the updated terms.

10. Access Restrictions

We may block or restrict access for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at our discretion and without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), C.R.S. §§24-72-201 et seq., governs qualifying requests to a public custodian, not the content of this private service. CDPHE Open Records Policy 2.17 describes a three-working-day inspection target and permits a possible seven-working-day extension for extenuating circumstances for that department. The Colorado Privacy Act, effective July 1, 2023, may provide access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights for covered processing, subject to its scope, exemptions, and thresholds; it does not give this service control over Commerce City or Adams County records.

12. Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
