Privacy Policy

Commerce City Residents Directory collects very little personal data. This policy describes what may reach the service, how that information is used, and the choices available to you. The reference points to public rolls and directory collections in Commerce City, Colorado; it does not require an account or keep a resident record about you.

Information You Submit

Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in search forms are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results; this service does not retain a copy of those queries on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only what you choose to include, and we use it to answer you.

Routine Technical Logs

Our hosting provider records ordinary server details such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which pages readers use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

We use available data to operate the service, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual users.

External Portals and Tools

Links may lead to Commerce City and Adams County records portals, Colorado library collections, archives, or third-party search tools. The privacy policy of each destination, rather than this one, controls what you submit there. That distinction matters especially for sponsored results supplied by another company.

Who Receives Information

Hosting and support providers may process server logs while keeping the service running. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not make those disclosures.

Security and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. There are no accounts here, so this service does not hold a password or user profile that could be exposed.

People Under 18

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18; if you believe a minor sent information to us, contact us and we will delete what we find.

Your Privacy Choices

The Colorado Privacy Act, effective July 1, 2023, may give covered Colorado consumers rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Those rights depend on the law's scope, exemptions, and thresholds; they concern covered processing, not public records held by a government custodian. The CPA does not turn a deed, voter record, court file, or permit into a private directory and does not override a confidentiality statute.

Colorado's Address Confidentiality Program, under C.R.S. §24-30-2101 et seq., gives qualifying survivors a legal substitute address and confidential mail forwarding. Certification lasts four years and can provide retroactive protection for the 90 days before enrollment. Colorado vital records are confidential under C.R.S. §25-2-117, so access questions about a birth or death record belong with the responsible custodian and its eligibility rules.

Because this service keeps very little, a request usually ends with a review of our contact mailbox and applicable server logs, followed by removal of information we control when appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. For records held by Colorado, Adams County, or Commerce City offices, the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), C.R.S. §§24-72-201 et seq. may govern access, but the request belongs with the custodian. CDPHE Open Records Policy 2.17 describes a three-working-day inspection target and a possible seven-working-day extension for that department; it is not a universal deadline for every office.

Policy Revisions

When this policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continued use after the update indicates acceptance of the new version.
